Thank you to everyone who responded to the Council’s Regulation 19 consultation and expressed their views.

It was disappointing that the Borough Council was unable to give residents more time to digest and appraise all the documents which contained some very ambitious policies.

We remain resolutely opposed to the Heathlands Garden settlement which is proposed in the Lenham area and in our submission we have addressed a number of fundamental issues where the policies are unsound.  You can read our full submission here

We hope that Maidstone Borough Council will use this opportunity to take a step back and review the many cautionary voices that are all clearly making the same points including the detailed submission from Lenham Parish Council which you can view on its website.
